Smok Stick Prince is giving off an awful flavor

My Vape is giving off an awful flavor, what's the problem?

I've had my Smok Stick Prince for 3-4 weeks now. I've tried 3 different flavors, all of which are excellent with it. They're all at Nic level 6, which is/has been perfect for me.

I change my coils weekly, if not more frequently. I've been using V12 Prince-M4 (.17?) Quad coils, until just yesterday, when I switched to the .12? V12 Prince-T10's. Had a blast with them, and experienced zero problems. Been using the same 6 mg Max VG juice I've had up to this point.

As I was vaping late last night, I failed to notice my tank was empty, and did a hard, dry hit. God, it was f*cking awful. Every hit I took after that, even upon refilling it, had this foul burnt flavor, and seared the heck out of my throat/nose/lungs. Like the most unpleasant, scratchy throat hit you've ever had, despite being the same 6mg Max VG juice.

Even though it was brand new, I changed the coil again earlier today. It solved nothing, and if anything, my issue has become worse. I cleaned my tank, mod, drip tip, everything. Why the heck is the problem persisting?

Even the vaporizing sounds have become weird--thick and crackly, opposed to a smooth, Vader-like inhale. What the heck is the problem?

If there's anything I'm sure of, the juice/nic level/VG/PG levels have zero to do with this. The new coils? Maybe, but that wouldn't explain why they worked before. Could it be the mod? What about the tank? How might I solve this problem? Tried thoroughly priming, non-powered pulls, repeated cleaning.

The only coils you should be using in your kit at the 0.17ohms. I don't recommend stick batteries with these subohm tanks personally unless it was the x-baby stick The SMOK Prince stick is not even sold in my shop

Fully charged battery at 4.2 volts with 0.12ohm coil would mean its running at 147watts. It will run through e-liquid way to fast. That is much higher than the recommended range for that coil.

You burnt out the coil's cotton which happens when you let a subohm tank. The solution for such is the dump the e-lquid clean tank and switch flavors completely. I would make sure that you let the new coil be primed properly.

I always completely clean my tanks in a situation like this and I let it sit apart for 24hours to full dry and air it out. Then go back to and properly prime the new coil etc. I have the luxury of multiple tanks though.

The burn you feel in the back of your throat is Nicotine especially with Max VG. If you are not using a vape to get off cigs you shouldn't be using nicotine. I would work yourself down to 3mg nicotine.
